If their arguments hold any water, they would use whatever ability save they wanted.FrDavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00459281821319914530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2290828421410624791.post-65389622326809475962016-12-21T07:44:12.583-06:002016-12-21T07:44:12.583-06:00I understand that in context of 5e, but I am hacki...I understand that in context of 5e, but I am hacking this system onto BX with saving throws like Dragon Breath and Death Ray, not CON. Especially if initial skill choices are based on two ability scores, I had to balance it out.FrDavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00459281821319914530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2290828421410624791.post-64837358618039524672016-12-21T06:56:25.070-06:002016-12-21T06:56:25.070-06:00It's true that 5E Constitution doesn't hav...It's true that 5E Constitution doesn't have any skills associated with it, but that's a deliberate feature, not a flaw. Constitution saving throws come up a disproportionate number of times once adventuring starts: Run out of food? Roll those Con saves. Traveling on a frozen mountain top or in a desert during a sirroco? Con save. Need to hold your breath? How long you can is determined by your Con. Need to press forward in a forced march? Con save.

So Con is critical to survival, just in a passive way.Michael Bugghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12196330988164511595noreply@blogger.com
