Very good game fodder in it, and educational to boot! :)

This one is filed away for later usage. Your weaving of the lives of saints into something inspirational for even a game is, well, inspiring. :)

Regarding potions, I've always been a bit bored at how they're handled. I like your suggestion, but I might alter it a bit: Identifying represents an on the spot "educated guess," hence the 20% chance of error, not seeing the potion's danger or flaw. This can be mitigated by taking it back home for "lab work." Thus the players have the choice of taking the risk now, if they feel the need is pressing, or waiting until they can "make sure."Anthonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01254215329246851683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2290828421410624791.post-54703739239007104732012-12-24T10:18:41.815-06:002012-12-24T10:18:41.815-06:00Thanks. In context of the system suggested above, however, the blanket ability to identify potions allows for the immediate tactical choice of whether or not to risk drinking them.FrDavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00459281821319914530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2290828421410624791.post-67796704799160552722012-12-24T09:42:51.200-06:002012-12-24T09:42:51.200-06:00I enjoy this series also. Your posts on the saints are interesting and educational, especially for someone like me who grew up Methodist.

Speaking of potions, I made the case that Holmes characters can use the Detect Magic spell to identify potions. What are your thoughts on that?Desert Scribehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13862907749003106864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2290828421410624791.post-91312005101624419352012-12-23T20:13:21.739-06:002012-12-23T20:13:21.739-06:00Thanks.
